| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This thread is for the Korrina and Lucario episode. Fuck the numberings on the subs or websites. We skipped an episode so this is the 29th one. Seems Korrina will be traveling with the group for a while. With them showing the deep bond needed for Mega Evolution, to the point of sensing the other party, I doubt Ash will get that other Lucario like in the games. It's already capable of Mega Evolving plus Ash and Lucario would need that deep of a bond as well, which means upstaging Pikachu which is a no go. Pikachu got thrashed bad though. 2 SD boosted Bone Rush plus a Power-up Punch is an overkill. Not to mention it will gain the ability to Mega Evolve later. How will Ash beat Korrina in the gym battle. New content of OP is great. Hawlucha totally confirmed for capture plus Fletchling to evolve as well. Weird that he'll have two Flying types. Can't wait for the upcoming episodes from what was shown in those previews. |

| "Our hero's have unexpectedly run into Korrina" Nope, totally expected. Is Ash gonna meet all the gym leaders before hand in this region. Absolutely gut crushing seeing Ash get beat by not just Korrina, but the 1st gym leader as well. After a supposed 17 years, people have come to realize making him under powered is just for balancing purposes and I get that too, but it still pains me to see Ash and Pikachu lose.. AGAIN. Surprised Bonnie didn't ask Korrina to be Clemonts waifu again haha, guess she's not a keeper? |

| Just after we met Diantha, this episode we already met Korrina, Shalour City Gym Leader.. We also have a quick battle between her lucario and pikachu with Lucario won in the end.. We also see that Korrina also had that Key Stone to mega evolve her Lucario once it got Lucarionite.. Well, in the end of episode i guess Korrina will be around for some times.. i for once like it and actually hope more gym leader have this kind of interaction since by joining the crew albeit for awhile, it would make us more invested to the character itself and Korrina sure is an interesting ones.. Overall a great episode and surprisingly we'll get "non filler" episode for the following 2-3 episodes.. Looking forward to see the next ones.. 5/5 |

Pokemon is the only franchise I've watched dubbed and never subbed (because of Satoshi being annoying in the Japanese version) |

| @Red_Tuesday It's definitely an "interesting" voice. - I kinda thought it was funny. Solid episode though, learning more about the mega evolutions and some great battle scenes. |
