| Ok. I'm looking for a JRPG. I played a demo of it as a kid and have been looking for it for some time. I thought I'd ask here for help in finding it. Hope someone can help me find it. Gaming Era: PS1/PS2 (I'm sure its PS1 though) Description: My memory of it isn't that good and i only have this area in my head from the game. The game was in 3d I think. I remember standing in this area on the left side of the screen. I think I was on a mountain but not at the top, somewhere in the middle or something. Ahead of me was a waterfall and just before it was a tree. I'm supposed to find some way to push it down I think so I can advance through the game. I think it required a weapon. I THINK there was a small house there though I'm not sure I think I remember getting a weapon from there to hit the tree with or maybe it was a chest. I'm really not sure about that. There was grass on the ground I think and the camera was at a fixed position with a sort of top down view but I'm not sure about that either. Any ideas? If you dohapen to guess correctly then maybe you can post a video showin the scene from YouTube? Maybe? Thanks. |

| I remember in Legend of Dragoon that you had to cut down a tree to cross a river. The character's sword was too blunt, so he needed to find an axe to chop the tree down...But that's my guess... EDIT: I'm guessing Legend of Dragoon. Check this vid to see if this is what you were looking for. It happens around the 3:30 minute mark. |

| No need for guesses. It's Legend of Dragoon, just like the previous poster stated. You do that part of the game in the demo of the game. By the way it's a real solid RPG. I recommend to anyone that hasn't played it to play it. |

The combat system is really fun, with the Addition that are basicaly you're main attacks but you have to time your press to attack or counter-attack when the ennemies tries to counter you and cancel/hit you.(I might have phrased that weirdly, but you'll get what I mean if you play/remember) The OST has pretty unique sounding music, IMO, and they're all mostly really great/awesome (I love the bosses battle themes and the forbidden land battle music). I did literaly 100% of this game MANY time and I would still do it, that's including mastering every addition (OH GOD), getting the legendarys sets for EVERYONE (again, OH GOD), collecting every 50 stardusts, beat the super bonus boss of doom and all that. So basicaly, this game is awesome and you should get/play it. I will. How is the story? Very good? |
