| About sudden challenges. If only one person enter that challenge, is it automatically make him/her a winner? How long will last a challenge? If I understand your right should I make a card specially for this contest? So if I make a card during contest's registration period can I use it somewhere else? In my cards topic, for example. Or will it be for the contest only? |

Well if one person only takes the optional challenge, then they were the only one who took the challenge, so they would win by default. btw if only one person only enters the contest tho, I would cancel it altogether. I hope that doesn't happen lol. You'd have at least a week to make a card for the challenge if you're up for it. It would go on while members are voting and deciding the other cards. I noticed that some people get creative during the voting time, so this will give you something to put that energy into. I hope it sounds like it would be a fun new challenge to take up! I doubt most people will make a whole 5 cards, so I made a lot of categories to recognize a lot of different aspects of the card design. If you make a new card for this contest, you can also put it in a topic, thats fine. The contest is more about new cards so its acceptable. Its also ok for someone to enter cards newly made for topics in this contest too, as long as they're not using their card topic for self-promotion- like, "new card! vote for me!" - cuz that would give someone an advantage. I don't think anyone here would do that tho but just to be safe I'll have to add a rule on that, along with rule against friend-stacking the member's vote (I forgot about that). I hope that makes everything clear! |
| I've updated the OP with additional information- You can enter if you have a card shop (request topic) already, in fact I encourage you to! No friend-stacking the member vote (asking all your friends to vote for you and turning it into a popularity contest). No using topics to promote yourself (IE "vote for me everyone!"). |

| @greesemonkie: Yeah its fine, just resize it down to a more "card-ish" size. @all: registration turnout so far is surprisingly low compared to the last card contest, so I will alter the rules to allow people to use cards they made previously and in other clubs, as long as they weren't entered in last years contest (and as long as you aren't using someone else's work). New cards will have their own category. More on this later |
| I've updated the guidelines/rules in this contest. The main thing is that you can now enter any cards you made previously, not just new ones made for the contest. Hopefully this will encourage a higher registration turnout before the deadline, which I've also extended a few days to March 30th. If you enter a card you made in another club tho, please edit it so it meets guidelines #4 and #5 (see above) and, if possible, link me to your card shop so I can verify your work (this isn't necessary tho). This guideline is to help curb cheating and spamming which plagued past contests |

Yes thats fine, as long as they aren't making the work for you. Even if they make small touch ups, like adding a sparkle or light effect, thats acceptable in my opinion. | @kiokozoku: Your card has to be practical size, since its a card contest, and if a card was say 1000px across and 1500px high it would be difficult for ppl to compare and vote to smaller cards and look more like wallpaper than a card at that point. I'd say 500px is the absolute limit to card width, and 650px high, tho something smaller like 250-400px width is more favorable You see hundreds of cards in this group and on MAL, nearly all of them run between those dimensions, including in this thread, so something between those dimensions are always going to be the standard idk about your sig, would have to see it in the end since I have no idea what you're going to do with it. but it probably won't be acceptable without significant editing @genbrian: much better! @hisaki13: yes everything looks fine @Phraze/Hahaido/SylakentH: nice to see you're all returning for another contest |
