Document is still WIP by the way, there are still many things I have yet to elaborate. And for fine details we can work out together. Most important thing is that the system is easy to grasp. If I didn't manage to do it, please tell me. Complicated things like maths behind the system etc. can be left to those people willing to tackle it. |

| Great work, Aurioch. If i may, here are some additional points to keep in mind while tweaking this system: 1. To incorporate the original AGI values in the initial counter values at the start of battle. 2. To incorporate surprise attacks. 3. Movement mechanics and range of weapons need to be integrated here. Not to mention we need someone to keep up the calculations because some players may not be able to fully understand it. |

Caren already killed me off, and barbarian is not willing to have Elizabeth recover from the death of Ashikaga, and barbarian says she is too shocked to summon a servant. |

But then in that case, how much do we nerf things like Enkidu, Hrunting, and Fragarach? How do we come to an agreement as to whether or not an attack that is unavoidable according to the rules of the Nasuverse will hit or if someone is able to emerge from situations with an improbable lack of significant injury, and I mean come to this agreement without an Overseer (unless we'll have the Overseer decide every ambiguity or disagreement when it comes up). |

You raise a good question, but I think some amount of expected good will is unavoidable in coming to the decision of a hit or a miss. One party will have to step down and accept defeat. I doubt that we can do this another way unless Aurioch's Tactic Guide is manipulated to contain every move, its hit points, and which opposing moves/phantasms it can negate or can't negate. I'm a novice, so that's just my opinion on the matter. |

Dude, Elizabeth just got a Command Seal, and she explicitly said that she wanted to continue the fight. In other words, that means make a contract between her and Berserker. You. When did I kill you off? =/ You lost six lives and a Master, but you still have your own mana supply which'll last a few hours. That's the time you use to find a new Master, AKA Elizabeth~ Servants don't instantly disappear when they lose their Master, you know~ |

That's next for discussion, I think. We can assign the values for other stats as well, and then have attacker and defender roll a dice (STR/MGI for hit, CON for parry, AGI for evade). Unavoidable attacks might roll LCK instead of AGI, which is how Saber survived Gae Bolg. Enkidu, on the other hand, might be nerfed instead to give a chance each turn for trapped character to break out. There are additional problems: let's say Lancer is on the bridge and Archer fires Hrunting at him from the roof of Central Building. Distance is too far for Lancer to see it in any way (mana detection and sight). How will we deal with those situations? There's so much to think about... If the rest of you can come to an agreement about other, I'd be grateful. |

| No matter what battle system we employ, it will need to be the one involving dice, as Merci can't be here all the time. The problem is, how do we make sure it's fair and no one cheats? Now I feel I really should have been more vocal about this whole thing. I've RPed in MMOs for... quite some time and over there there's pretty much only two ways of doing PvP combat (with some rather exotic exceptions). Actual ingame PvP, which depends on player's skill, so no one does it (well, my guild did it once, but only for the lulz), and RP fighting (as we've done so far) which everyone try to avoid at all cost (unless it's prescripted). I swear, 9 out of 10 (or something close to that) non-scripted RP fight tend to end up with some sort of OOC drama. You can't expect a player to suddenly decide to lose in a competitive setting. It goes completely against immersion into their character. End line, no way in hell am I ever involving myself in RP PvP without dice or predefined script (even if DM's involved). That aside, I'll look into the actual combat concerning actions. A while ago I've been working on my own rules where I pulled some ideas from DnD. I'll try to remember how it was supposed to work, I think parts of it could be used here nicely. |
