Id like to be informed if it comes to that so i think that every one else should be informed too...

They should absolutely be given that information. The best thing is to always encourage a hopeful outlook, so even if you given them an estimate, it's not always final. Support them, advocate for their health and mental wellness, and they can decide themselves how to live accordingly.

even if it's hard, i'd tell them
if i was hospitalized i'd be paranoid that i had something anyways
of course tears are to be expected
and some might say ignorance is bliss
but i'd like to do something with my last few days instead of just doing what i always do and dying all confused
