| From my understanding they've been accused of ripping off Baba O'Reily, Should I stay or should I go, and most recently Def Leppards Pour some Sugar on me. Now I do believe they admitted to purposefully stealing from The Clash tune but what upsets me is I heard that One Direction fans sent death threats to The Who yelling them not to sue. I know that may sound funny but if it's true that is ****ed up and not OK. I don't think we as a society should accept that behavior I mean it says a lot about how poor our society is. I heard Def Leppard plans to sue and I hope they win. Let me know if I messed up on any facts ok :D |

| Lady Gaga's entire discography rips off older, famous pop music and very few people seem to care. Led Zeppelin ripped off famous blues artists and no one seems to care. Godsmack's "Time Bomb" rips off NIN's "Last" and I'm the only person who ever seemed to care. It's a common thing in music. Getting mad about it is probably a waste of time. |

| You can't really 'rip off' music. If you sample music it falls under fair use (which is how rappers get around paying royalties or dealing with legal issues in that department) and if you make a song that's very similar but even slightly different then you're technically making a different song and thus not breaking any rules. |
