This episode aired just before the New Year, so maybe that's why it was so silly
"Oh, wings, I see Paris burning" may be possible reference to Is Paris Burning?. Or maybe not
Too bad I've watched preview, so "Please marry me" joke didn't quite work
"There are many unexplainable mysteries in the world." Like your incredible shooting skills, for example

In which Lupin gets involved in a marriage scheme! Easily the wackiest, most nonsensical episode in awhile, possibly ever. Transforming chewing gum, Zenigata dressing as 70s tv detectives Kojak and Ironside, a fourth wall shattering ending, need I go on? None of this tried making any logical sense and I largely tuned out. Save for a few minutes/gags like the Zenigata one noted above and fake Fujiko's striptease ending:

Why did Lupin decided to use bubble-ammo, I will never understand
Well maybe it can disable guns by blowing them, but why Goemon can't use his sword
Maybe this was more well suited for the "celebration"

That bubble is really nice, you can transform septic truck into police car
I want one, I'll take your entire stock! xD

Well, that chewing gum certainly had many uses, and not even having the backup of an army, because Lupin also pulled some strings, was enough for Gasper to win. Well, his mistake for targeting Lupin with that marriage scam I guess. xD

Can't say I enjoyed this slapstick-heavy episode. It seems that the episodes in America tend to be the worst of the bunch, which is a shame since it's one of the three main locations along with France (Lupin's domain) and Japan (Goemon). I think there are so many New York episodes because Jigen is supposedly based on some stereotype of a NY gangster, but often, like here, he's underused.

Man.. don't you hate it when the army suddenly goes after you just because you flirted with some woman at a club...

Yes, I still have candies since I'm sugar addicted:
