| I won't care, if I wanted to see a loli all I have to do is look in a mirror and cry. On a serious note: College settings don't appeal to me either, if that bill passes I probably won't watch any new anime(of the genre) until after it fails again. I don't think it will pass anyway, at least I hope not. Not that I'm obsessed with lolis, but I would miss the character type if they suddenly disappeared. |

| I am sick of lots of anime cliches and school settings but i know very well that censorship never is a way to go. It's always a slippery slop and give free card for authorities to become even more corrupted by enforcing a law bill to whoever they chose(probably depending on the under the table payment). Nothing but fascism. I like more senein anime but this is not the way to get them. Also the irony of trying to hit a segment that is based on art and fantasy shows that we are dealing with old close minded fools wanting to pass their conservatism against new type of things. |

I feel the above would be the inevitable. I don't like lolicon or shotacon. I would be happy if it gets banned. Something about sexualizing young girls or boys doesn't sit right with me. I don't like the idea that it's okay because it is "art" or a "cartoon" so it makes it okay... If the people who like it are well over 18 and they are fantasizing and imagining sexual acts with children(getting a kick out of watching it)... I don't think the ban will get rid of it, but It would make it less easy to access to the general or unseeking public. So I would rather see it banned.
