Such a lovely and refreshing chapter

Reminded me of the before wedding activities of the girls in my family, spending hours to discuss the bridal dress and similar stuff

Mr. Smith's wordings in the end were really something

Oh yes, Smith's words were so awesome. I always hated all this stuff about embroidery and making your own dowry etc =_= but after reading his words, I understood the importance of it.

I love that every aspect of their lives and culture are getting attention. This chapter was all about the beautiful embroidery and the deep meaning the hold for the people, especially the women. Love it~ ^^

I'm wondering about the family connections, because it hasn't been yet stated clearly, I think. So we have Karluk's parents and his grandmother and grandfather of his father's side. And then we have 4 children: Tileke (the girl), two boys and the youngest one Rostam. And the parents of this children - and here I wonder: does he or she is the child of Karluk's parents? I mean, is it Karluk's older brother and his wife or rather Karluk's older sister and her husband?
Does anyone know?

I think that those kids are children of Karluk's brother. There family composition and lifestyle is such that daughters don't live with their parents after getting married (They even took some names of the girls of the family who got married and now live at other places)

Thank you :) I managed to find the omake, pity it's not translated. But the drawing clearly states that she's Karluk's older sister :) and her name is Yaireke as far as I can read it ;)

Oh wow, that was detailed. Embroidery is lovely when you realise all the thought that goes into it~

I never thought embroidery could be so entertaining.

Very refreshing. A great read and I'm really captivated by their culture. I was thinking of how the women do not have freedom to have they do what they want, but after smith wrote it down, it became slightly clearer the importance of the embroidery.

I wonder if Smith is actually a spy. He's getting a lot of letters from England all of a sudden and there's a hint the Russians are moving in on the area.

"Well, good thing she was a sweet girl" fucking killed me.

On those days people lived by their hands, no factory wages but they all seem like their proud of their work, pretty nice chapter i for one don't care for embroidery that much but i can see the beauty of it.

Mr Smith also looked kind of suspicious this chapter, idk i can smell shit from a mile away and he kind of gave me a whiff of it.

Truly, comparisons between fellow humans are what turn out to be the most infuriating.

Given the topic I wouldn't have expected this to easily be my favorite chapter so far. The way the great-grandmother reminisced with the others while looking at the family patterns was beautiful. Glad I finally picked this manga up after being aware of it for so long.
