| An user of YouTube called "Hillua" did a pretty interesting video, it does a comparison between the voices from 1999 / 2011 of hunter x hunter. Nippon Animation in 1999 and the current Madhouse 2011. | Interesting! Kurapika's voice sounds exactly the same to me, and Megumi Han is a lot better as Gon. Overall I think the new dub suits them better... |

| The 2011 version wins for me. Hisoka sounds so much more intimidating. His voice gave me goosebumps. |
| Most voices were very close. Hisoka in 2011 wasn't very good in the early episodes but got a lot better later. I guess 2011 wins by a little bit. |

The thing for me is that Hisoka IS bat**it crazy and that must be his portrayal not just visual as 2011 version shows but most importantly his voice in which case imho 1999 version did better. As I said for me 1999 version Hisoka is faaaaaar superior than the new one. I just don't feel the crazy from the balanced and deep voice of new Hisoka |
