| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I AM SO HAPPY FOR THIS EPISODE! Finally Rui gets 2/3 of the episode! Thank you Lord! We finally thanks to that know about him being extremely smart on his own and also cautious. When he was talking at one point he switched dialects into the one of this era cause most likely it was a form of possession. Rui is pretty independent compared to Ran and even Midori. Good BF for Ran since she lacks that quality. Some points I want to stress out. -This is the first episode where there is a dimensional rift and space and time travel is actually introduced. The ghost is the source and the ghost happens to be Ran's sister BUT this is a Ran in another world and time period and she refered to Okimi. THAT IS WEIRD since she looks like Ran a lot. O_O The monster is LIKE A BLOB that can swing a sword (huh?) it is referred to as the darkness demon and also pretty much it is supposed to rip your heart and eat it. After all this everything points to Rui having to do revenge for Okimi since he is figuring out that that woman is Ran's sister....RUI WHY YOU GOING TO GET INVOLVED? Killing someone else is not the way but at that time I understand since greed and the laws were crappier in the Edo period, Hell rapists had it good then. I liked the fact Rui believed Okimi since he knew about Ran's powers. So Okimi may be Ran from the past..huh!? HIGHLIGHTS IT'S ALL ABOUT RUI SO A SMALL HOMMAGE TO HIM! Also WTF is this MONSTER????     Ran from Edo time and Rui...they look like newlyweds!   |

| angel999: You clearly need to watch this subbed since you didn't understand a thing... Basically we don't know anything about why Rui is there and what he's supposed to do. He has indeed gone back in time to the Edo period but it has not been revealed that this time period's Ran (also called Okimi) is related to our Ran, she just looks a lot like her, except much cuter. Okimi's father was killed by the darkness monster and her mother died from the plague. Her sister is missing and she's trying to find her. She and Ran share a similar power so they might be related. Anyway, good episode, one of the best so far. I loved hearing Koshimizu Ami as Okimi in this episode, she's always great. |

Dure 100% is far off but I still try :P I like the time period change that happens, it's a good change from all the usual stuff in this series. |

| Eh, not a bad episode. I'm glad someone validated my thought that Rui's name is a little feminine. I still think Rui has some kind of power, but I forgot about that until this episode. I find it weird that he would all of a sudden just see a ghost like that and get the box in that odd way without having any psychic abilities. |

| Off topic: WTF, I just discovered Ike Yoshihiro did the soundtrack for this. I'm gonna have to rewatch the first couple of eps (was wanting to anyway). Some odd reason, I never noticed the music. EDIT: Yeah, I guess as a 'lighthearted' anime, the music doesn't suit my taste as well as Ergo Proxy did. I've been meaning to watch World Destruction (though I'm sure I've been spoiled). |

| Rui gets the spotlight for a change. I hope he reveals some psychic power in the next ep offtopic: funny that in my country we also use the name Rui, but it's a masculine name :p |

| This episode really and really interesting. Last 14 episode I asleep in my chair. But main character began a MAN ! He has no balls, but much more interesting watch to rational character. |
