I expected mysteries + romance comedy stuff. I was mostly right, or at least until the plot kicked in. The Idolm@ster. I expected shameless advertisement and moe crap. One year later, and I have Idolm@ster songs on my MP3 player. |
| Elfen Lied -- Expecting "lolgore" like a generic slasher, but ended up with more tears than blood. Lucky Star -- Figured it'd just be lame cutsiness, and it was... but I didn't realize it'd be FUNNY lame cutsiness. Mirai Nikki -- I thought this thing was gonna just be some weird battle royale tale from its description; damn, I wish somebody would have warned otherwise, for I was NOT prepared for a tragic love story. |

I kept on expecting something like naruto where he turns into a demon. Eden of the East-It looked like crap but ended up really nice Mirai Nikki- I did not think such wimps existed |

| School Days - By the synopsis i thought it would be a romantic anime and then...well Kokoro Connect - I started watching because i thought it would be a comedy/romantic anime,and what i saw was a totally different thing But both are really good |

| Elfen Lied: Porn and violence just didn't feel right... I watched it to the ending because and It was frustating, expected it to be much better. Fate/Zero: Fate/Stay Night was an okay anime, so I had no expectations of Zero. It was completely different, got my mind blown *--*. No6: Watched it for 5 min, gave up and didn't watch the whole episode till months later. Then I got addicted and watched all episodes in a day. Really wasn't expecting it to be so great or to have gay kisses. |

| Fate/stay night - Studio Deen fucked up! Code Geass - I genrally dislike mecha, but found the plot interesting by the 4th episode. Steins;Gate - Boring ass show with too much monotonous dialogue in the first half. Chihayafuru - Thought it might be boring and entirely focused on karuta, but it ended up being an inspiring drama about achieving your dreams. |
