| Depends. If there's absolutely nothing that interests me in the first episode and I have to force myself to watch it, I'll drop it then. If I can sit through it without getting incredibly bored, I'll give it more time. But no more than a few episodes for shorter series, and maybe five or so episodes for longer series. I don't care if it "gets good" later on, I shouldn't have to watch half of the series for it to happen. I'm pretty easily entertained when I actually start watching something, so if I'm not interested by then, there's not much point in continuing. | It depends. For me it's at most at the halfway point. So for 12 episode series, if by episode 6 i'm dying of boredom i'll drop it. Unfortunately, this is what i like to tell myself, but by that time i just feel like i'm already half way and might as well finish. So probably by episode 3. That's when the creators recently love to troll you and change everything around if they want to, so if it seems like nothing is going to happen by episode 3, then i'll consider dropping it. That's my system, but honestly i'd decide if you really want to watch it BEFORE you start, because if you're like many of us, you won't be able to stop once you start. |
