Yes... Rito's is ridiculous, but it STILL doesn't compare to Negi's 30-heroine empire, and more. But of course that failed, so I don't want To love-ru to go there :p
to be honest the ending of mahou sensei negima disappointed me....it didn't end with a proper harem, to love ru however wont disappoint me, everyone knows that it will end with Rito turning into a carnivore and end up ******* all the heroines, surprisingly its an ending im looking forward to XD

I think that Ayase should have had a bigger role in the show. It would have been better if she had been transfered into Shu's school as well as Inori. Or instead of Inori. But the writers had to force the Shu/Inori pairing.
I find Ayase too be entirely one-dimensional, so I fail to see how she would be any different than Inori, or Hare, or any other female character really besides that class president chick. Even Inori has been shown to have more depth than Ayase, and thats saying a lot.
Also any pairing with Shu would be *forced* simply because Shu was despicable for 3/4 of the series. No one could find a single reason why Hare even liked him, why Inori put up with him, or anyone really. He was a jerk, selfish, and an entirely unlikeable guy. Its forced no matter who you throw at him.
Both Ayase and Hare tried to help Shu when things went bad. Both supported him and when they thought he was wrong, called him on it. Even slapping him. I find Ayase's and Hare's relationships with Shu to be more nature and more realistic then Shu's relationship with Inori.
Well thats just the thing, realistic is breakable. Neither Hare nor Ayase would really stick with or love the disgusting evil Shu. Like Hare said, thats not the Shu she loves. Its hard to say what Ayase would do since she was so minor during his fall, but I imagine she wouldn't love Shu the tyrant, nor support him. I have a hard time seeing her do the same thing Inori would. Who could really love and protect Shu the tyrant? Shu the tyrant is *still* Shu, as Jun said every person has a dark and ugly side to their heart. Realistically, ppl can't tolerate the dark ugly side of others..they dont and wont accept it. Hare doesn't love dark ugly Shu. Ayase probably doesn't, which is why she slapped him. inori is the only character who loves both, which is saying something. Thats a bond thats truly unbreakable, and love in its most idealized form.
No its not realistic, but its definitely the most complete and the most powerful. When it comes to "love," I wouldn't call realistic a good thing. Just look at the divorce rate. The greatest love in the world is usually found in:
religion/myth
poems
fiction
and mothers
There are rare cases where ppl can love like Inori and Shu do, but for the most part its entirely unrealistic. Thats what makes it so good though, the realistic version often blows and is way too fragile.
This is why I really enjoyed the Ayase/Shu moments in Episode 21. I would have enjoyed them more if there had been a Hug and or a brief kiss. I half expected it when Ayase leaned towards Shu in the Endlave Control Room.
I liked them too actually, mostly because of the way Ayase changed a bit. She opened up a lot for Shu, and I was happy her character grew like that. Can't say im a fan of the pairing, for the same reason im not a fan of ShuxHare, but I really like their interactions together. Can't stand Hare's interactions with Shu though, she comes on way too strong lol
