Actually I hate to make such random threads but this thing had always bugged me and so far I don't see people making similar threads to this one. Perhaps one of the most annoying trends in anime/manga industries is to moefying/bishounenifying things around them. Their first victims inanimate objects around us like charcoals(Binchou-tan), home appliances and computer programs(OS-tans). Then the historical figures(Koihime Musou, Momoiro Paradox) and countries/political powers(Hetalia). Last but not least the constellations. Sure Japanese people are creative but overly-creative can be a bad thing, at least for me. For example in Koihime Musou Cao Cao is a lesbian while Dong Zhou is a kind and cute little girl(I didn't made this one up). I just wonder what's next? At least I can give ideas to some Japanese people what kind of personification that should never conceive at first place.

1. Last days of Adolf Hitler
I just want to kill myself if Hitler and his generals are turned into teenage girls or handsome young men. While it can be funny and awesome to see Hitler get turned into a tsundere or yandere(he killed his dog and his wife right?) 16-years old girl but it just went too far.

2. Ships
At least we can see Titanic and her sister Britannic as zombies.

3. Any Shakespeare's works
Although there is a very loose adaptation of Romeo and Juliet but at least they kept their original genders. I'm afraid someday Romeo and Juliet were changed into gay or lesbian couple.

4. Lolita(Nabakov's original)
Lolita is a crossdressing boy. That's even more torturous than being waterboarded for 12 hours.

5. American presidents(from Washington to Obama)

6. Japanese prime mininsters(all of them)

7. Galaxies

8. Classic rock bands
Prepare to see an all girl Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple!

The list can get longer but too bad I run out of idea. I will research more on what thing that should never had such personifications for fuck's sake.

Galaxies should always be moe and have strange relations with their neighbors.
Where's my Milky Way and Andromeda moe romance anime Japan?

Haven't all or most of those things received characterizations and personifications outside of anime already?

Dead heads have that yellow bear, This site: http://milkywayandthegalaxygirls.com, planets/galaxies designed as girls, there's a high number all-male Romeo and Juliet performances...etc. What do you do when the line you're drawing has already been crossed by non-anime? I guess non-anime can do whatever it wants.

Every thing should have a moe characterization, because it's a scientifically proven fact that moe makes everything ten times better.*
*No scientific tests were caried out to reach this conclusion

Countries. Just imagihne hof fucked up and pants-on-head retarded it would be to go through world history with a bunch of yaoi fanfic fodder bishounen doing silly stuff. Oh, wait...

Oh and imagine if someone made a silly vaguely WWII themed anime where all the planes are switched in with moe girls. Oh, wait...

There are so many things wrong with the point you're trying to make

Explain to me the train of logic that goes from old thing that was written by non japanese people towards japanese people today use the same tropes they have been for thousands of years and are uncreative.

I imagine it's the train of thought that involves the anime Romeo X Juliet

I didn't realize that this was even that big of an issue.
Harems don't exist in America. If one guy is constantly surrounded by beautiful girls, then he's probably the gay friend.

I agree with 1, 2, 3, and 6

4. Lolita should have moe but it must be either hetro or yuri. Yuri would be a better twist btw.

5. That has already happened search on youtube, Obama and Clinton have moe versions.

7. Galaxies would be decent with moe

8. classic rock bands would be ok with bishies.

Afaik, WWII never happened there, but it's set right after WWI at least, and all the propeller-pants thingamajigs are clearly based on WWII planes, and the characters are all mostly ripped off from IRL WWII pilots.

Either way though, I'm not really a fan of any of these kawaii personification things. At least I haven't seen one yet that has won me over.
