I'm a guy and I like watching shoujo anime. Certainly shounen more interesting for me, but I have a nausea already because of fan-service and stupid main characters. Sometimes I want to have a rest and watch really beautiful stories about love things~

Why not?

Even though I'm a girl I love watching Shounen Animes. So why shouldn't guys watch Shoujo animes too?

Just don't care about genres and watch what you want ;D

I loved this series and it's not the only shoujo series I watch/watched and like/liked. Most of my favorite animes are shoujo.

Just something I coudln't restrain myself from saying: Bara is directed to homosexuals not shounen ai.

I am also a guy and just finished watching it. Like Dayyu I waited for it to finish because as much as I like these kinds of shows they aren't fun for me to watch when I have to wait every week for them.

But as for the show I loved it and I can't wait for the second season even though I will have to wait again for the entire thing to finish before I get to watch it.

Oh and I know shows are put out with genres attached to them but I don't see why it should matter what you watch. I mean if you enjoy it then it shouldn't matter if you are a guy watching Shoujo or a girl watching something like a Shounen. Just personal preference.

Guys appreciate a well made romantic anime just fine. They wouldn't like being in relationships if they didn't. This anime is not full of bullshit like Usui was in Kaichou wa Maid-sama so is easy to watch and not get on the nerves of a guy.

Only yaoi is beyond our level of tolerance. Well at least if you are straight that is.

I'm male. I like this show a good bit, but I think it's a little over-rated, not my favorite romance, but a good one for sure.

I watch it. 21 years old

The romance is very cheesy, I don't watch it for that.

I watch it for the comedy really, and some characters are interesting.

I'm a 28 old guy and I really enjoyed it so far - it was definately THE show of the season for me and was a relaxing, heartwarming watch. I value it for it's true character development, the art style and the charming concept of it all. It's been a while since a series touched my heart like this - I'd say it's because it captures one thing that's getting rare these days: purity

I take pride in having a broad taste in anime and manga, but I did have a special thing for shoujo manga rather early. I simply enjoy well-written romantic stories and can often relate to the male characters much more than with your average shounen character.

Young adult and I watch some romance shows and love Kimi Ni Todoke.

If my 15-16 year old self was watching this I would probably be ashamed of myself.

Now that I'm a lot more mature I have realized theres absolutely nothing wrong with watching this and it can also be a good thing by showing that you're open minded.

If anyone thinks it's strange that you watch this then don't worry. Its strange that you think that in the first place! =)

I'm a girl but I just wanted to say how pleased I am to see so many males that love this show ^_^
Although there are romantic seinens, which are my favourites such as Clannad, Kanon 2006 and etc, shoujos are a bigger obstacle to men, since sometimes they can get really cheesy and girly, even for me XD BUT, if a guy enjoys something like that, then he gets my respect! Actually, I can't keep a conversation going with a male anime fan if he is all about BOOBS-mecha-strong dudes-fight etc. I, myself, am pretty romantic, I guess xD, so I look for that same part in boys. And even if those so manly anime male fans think you're strange for watching it, even though they shouldn't, this is an instant win for... around 70% of the girls ;)

30% percent are reserved for those girls that hate cheesy stuff and waych only manly anime... Though they sooner or later show their romantic side and watch something romantic related, in most cases: seinen like Clannad.

Most shoujo bothers me in the sense that the love interest is just too perfect. But stuff like Fruits Basket was just incredible.

I'm still amazed that there has yet to be more animation to go along in the manga.
