This story was... interesting.

It's like she was that stereotypical, generic, obsessive, borderline-creepy, fangirl of the popular guy background character that every shoujo has, put into the position of protagonist.

I liked this story better than the first one. There's more of a lesson in the story; a message you can extract and apply to your own life. That's what short stories do best, in my opinion: develop themes. It's more about the idea, the lesson you learn, than it is about the characters and plotline.

The story has two layers: a face value top layer, in which a cute romance is beginning to bloom, and then a second layer that presents the very simple idea "shyness will get you nowhere; have confidence in yourself and try", which is really what the story is all about.

Literature is so much more interesting when it's something more than just "girl and boy fall in love". I like my stories to have actual worth.
