| Hanaukyo Maid-tai (2001) was 12 episodes, plus this OVA was another 3 episodes (episodes 13, 14, 15). At the end of the episode when Ikuyo is in her lair taping her late night anime, she says, "Oh, I have to use a special tape for permanent storage" then she puts in a VHS tape labeled "Episodes 16 17 18." The original 2001 series had an abrupt end and it was due to production issues. It was supposed to be longer than 12 episodes - I am assuming they had originally planned for 18 before they had to end early. Ikuyo literally taped over the rest of the episodes of Hanaukyo lol.  |
