| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- What the hell was the point in screwing up the mental state of one of the pilots that humanity's survival depends on? Why haven't they trained a secondary pilot team yet? Its important to have a second string in case the first string can't do their jobs for some reason, or even just to relieve them so that they can take vacations and have a life so that the stress of the job doesn't crush their minds. I think Ibuki's father didn't know what was coming, only that something was. There's no need for her to stop feeling proud of him just because he was happy that his research had been verified. He still laid the groundwork for humanity's defense by helping those who came after to understand where the heterodynes were coming from and how to predict their arrival. |
