Monogatari Series: First Season

But since Hitagi is the main love interest and Koyomi's official partner, she naturally gets more overall screen time. Still, whether Hanekawa has less or more than Hitagi, she can't beat Hitagi for me. Hitagi and Kiss Shot are definitely the best girls (at least from my perspective). |

| Hanekawa was best girl from the nanosecond the show started. Others have already explained the screen time aspect so I don’t have much to add except that she seems to pop up as a secondary character in her non-dedicated arcs more than any of the girls besides Hitagi. |

| Mayoi is best girl from start to finish, and Nadeko has the best arcs. Love Hanekawa but that’s certainly a hot take to call her “best girl” lol |

| Senjougahara is my favorite girl, but if Kizu aired before Bake, it would be Hanekawa. And I would be a bit salty. |
