Why? Is everyone not getting how bad and random the last 3 episodes have been? Dandadan is honestly making me dislike not just anime but the anime community as well

The last three episodes have been leading into the next arc, we see that with the golden ball. The group goes to investigate but finds out the ball was the Kaiju. The whole overarching plot of the series is that Okarun is getting the golden balls back.

How is it random? The whole point of the past three episodes was fighting the Kaiju to get the ball back. That's what powered the suit, it contributes to the whole series of making sure Okarun gets the balls back

Hopefully next year.

@deg Season 1 is from Fall 24, this season is from Summer 25. Season 3 could come out as soon as Spring 2026

@Reesespieces0317 because we had a random new character get in the way, who is quite annoying, and then all of a sudden, they’re randomly fighting a Kaiju… it makes no sense

Isn’t every new character by this logic is a random one? What argument is it? And actually more importantly - why is it a bad thing?


So at the end probably this is your true point? And well, not everybody has to like everyone.

It surprises me how you sit through 20 episodes and only in the last 4 you was like: “Aaah yeah… Kaiju is a little bit too strange and random”. Seriously? All shit before this was absolutely normal, streamlined and defined storytelling for you…? No questions..?

Again, it’s not like you MUST to like every part and character in the story. But only now questioning how random this story is… it’s a bizarre view on things in my opinion.
And yeah, it will continue to be this way. You will encounter some random shit again… which will eventually become part of the main plot… in the same way how Kinta and Kaiju from now on are part of the main cast. Why? Because it’s freaking fun? And a lot of people love Dandadan exactly because of this? Because author is not afraid to introduce some absolutely random shit only because it’s cool and fun, but later he incorporate this in the main plot quite well.

Entire philosophy of Dandadan is: “throw some chaotic shit in the story, have fun with it and at the end it will make sense, and you will feel emotions towards it (not necessary positive), as if it was always part of the plot.”
