| How dependent are you on certain brands? Including digital ones like popular mobile apps or internet services. What do you think about the popular thesis that modern people have become so brand-dependent that they even represent their identity through this or that product like "I'm a metalhead, so I always wear leather jackets from brand X" etc.? As for me, I wouldn't say that I'm one of those people who is prone to conspicuous consumption of some brands, but from time to time I notice with alarm that I watched this or that film or series for adding it to my imdb statistics in the first place, and only then because I had a real interest in them. |

| Liking brands means… you're supposed to like their entire lineup and everything they produce. I don't have such a thing and only like certain versions of stuff. For example, Adobe products—everyone likes their programs, and they're most popular among a specific crowd, but I only like their 2012 Photoshop CS6; every other one of their products, not so much, especially after they switched to a monthly subscription model in the mid-2010s. Another example is SONY; many consider SONY's best products to be TVs, games, and PlayStations, but I disagree, because to me their best invented product is VEGAS Pro software. |

| If I like a certain product a brand has to offer then yeah I'll stick with it for some time, wouldn't say I'm dependent/loyal though as I'm willing to jump ship the moment I find something better. |

| When it comes to clothing I usually just go for what's on sale. I think the only brands I really pay attention to are food brands, and even then you can usually buy the generic stuff and it'll be just fine. |

Mostly for the fact that I uses certain types of electronics like my Playstations and Android phone etc. I'm not a fucking shill or purist with brands but I do prefer some over others and that's mostly for the fact that I value the ability to do shit on my devices that I want, durability and repairability |

| I guess I'm pretty brand loyal to Old Spice for deodorant/body spray. I like their fragrances and they don't seem give me rashes like many others do. I was pretty loyal to Toshiba for DVD players, as they famously had a code to turn off region codes, so that was awesome for a collector such as I. Had 3 players and also a DVD & VHS recorder combo from them. The latter machine was awesome and still seems to be fought over on eBay even now. I've also had many cellphones from Alcatel & Motorola, mainly I guess because I think that their old enough companies to know what their doing with phones, but I'm guessing I'm probably in that fact judging by my last 2 phones lol. |
