After only 55 days of release, Demon slayer infinity castle's first movie has broken yet another record in Japan. It is now the 2nd highest grossing movie in Japan overtaking spirited away's total gross of 31.6 billion yen. In comparison, Mugen train took 73 days to reach this milestone.

Now the top 2 films in Japan are both Demon slayer. Next two could do even more. We might see top 4 films being Demon slayer.

The film is also set to release in major markets this weekend and the hype is enormous. Its set to break anime box office records in almost every country it is releasing in. It might just take 1 or 2 weeks for it to outgross Mugen train's entire run at the worldwide box office.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Like we discussed before, the trilogy does not need to surpass Mugen Train. The final goal is to make all the movies are in top 5 of Japan Box Office History. Ultimately, the Kimetsu franchise can be 2nd after Doraemon franchise, which regularly releases random movies for several decades.

@Elvarth As things are going, there is an extremely high chance that all these 4 films will be in the top 5 of the box office.

piracy nation
Every pirates knows they dont have the stuff to watch this movie properly. I have no problem saying that despiting owning netflix and prime subs, most stuff I consume I ddl, streaming websites can go fuck off, and many other that pirate feel like that. But it is also good to properly support things that deserve it, and these movies comins worldwide, are both things you dont mind paying considering the experience you see on cinema, but also the good stuff that you should at least support in a way you feel is right and proper.
