More secrets spilled this episode.

More adventuring featuring Shigeru and his party this episode although...an injured woman coming just dropping in like that spilled the mood. Can't they ever catch a break? Then again, Shigeru's kind heart always seems to allow himself to help others like her.

More "evil" otherworlder, imagine given a second change in life just to ruin it because of past hatred.

This anime seems to obsess with ugly and beauty, but then again, it's the very identity of this anime.

This episode focused heavily on the parameters of the special notes which was quite interesting. Also we were introduced to another character from the real world. I might have to go back and rewatch to see if the other characters special notes were mentioned. I like where this show is going.

A lot to take in this week.
Rizu did not know Shigeru irl after all, but both Seiji and Seika instead -nice little twist there, didn't see it coming.
We learn that in the real world she's not only somewhat related to Seika tough life/disabilities but also the sister of Seiji (who does not realize), and she can read the status windows of everyone, including their special notes.
This ability of hers proves useful almost immediately with the introduction of a new dangerous character soon after.

Loved how she came clean to Shigeru and how they got a little bit closer, deciding to form a team/duo of sort to support the two other, more naive perhaps, members of the group.
Had a good laugh at Shigeru super speed moment.
We end on a nice cliffhanger with Seika's new form revealed, guessing she'll manage (or at least try) to save the new girl somehow.

This week's episode had less comedy than the previous ones but was fantastic in terms of character development for Rizu and in expanding this world's lore by focusing on people's special notes.

I'm very positively surprised by this anime. Way deeper and more interesting than I initially expected. I also expected it to be solely focused on the protagonist's looks but it seems that's not the case, rather, it seems to be secondary. Very cool.

Well, that discounted our most widely held theory on her OG. She is related to the other girl.
This new woman is ALL kinds of trouble! Why put something that horrible in your special Note? Damn girl that is messed up! Who is this angel, though?

This episode felt much more interesting than the last to me. I want to see if there is an in story reason for how these 4 connected people ended up together in this new world. I also wonder if there are more connections in the group to be discovered.

With our Angel, we now have two of our 3 flyers from the opening sequence. Now we need Rizu's(?) demoness.

Can any power of friendship/turn your life around story gimmick absolve the new girl of the murders she's committed in this new world so she can join the team, or will she (appropriately) be captured and tried for her crimes? I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Yes, finally we can start to overcome Shigeru's stupidity and unwillingness to inform his party of his true abilities and limitations! I'm interested to see angel Seika next week!

hah so we were wrong, she isn't the woman who framed the MC
it would have been interesting, but pretty hard to handle well

I like that it isn't just the stats/skills, but the special notes have such a huge impact, there isn't really such thing in other isekai

I understand this woman been mistreated in the previous world, but to write kill all beautiful women in the special note is so stupid it's unbelievable stupid lol. But looks like Seika's advance form might be able to help out "wipe out" the special note? I guess we will find out soon

I like the fact that Rizu is also going to be helping Shigeru talking care of the other two, who are too innocent for their own good. So two angels and from the OP it seems Rizu will also have a powered up form but quite different from the other two.

Huh wasn't expecting any of that, way to go to not to be too obvious, kudos to the author. Yikes be careful what you put in your special notes and geez another girl losing a limb, in worlds with magic healing I always just assume they can fix that.

Boo to chopping off the blonde's hair though.

pretty good twist, at least someone knows Shigeru is OP as heck

wonder what Seika's note is but it's probably based on some activation condition like the party leader's

@imSOunique There is other Fantasy/Isekai that have "unique" twists similar to the special notes, and though they generally did that part well most have a lot of their own issues that make them pretty mid-average shows overall.

Man this one armed woman really makes me think how bad it would be if a "incel" got into this world with the ideal of "All women are terrible and should be eliminated"
"You can't spell slaughter without laughter".

@Mainnus Can she really be called evil? How many people would really believe they would have been teleported to another world and the notes really meant something. It's kinda hard to respond to especially since she took other people's lives.

Rizu is also Shigeru number one enemy since she knows his weaknesses.

I'm actually surprised with this show. I figured it was just going to be a stupid comedy. I keep coming back wanting to see what's going to happen.

One bad thing about this anime is the depiction of the isekai world — the scenery, trees, and buildings look like they were drawn by elementary school kids. I'm not sure whether this is an intentional artistic style or simply a failure on the studio’s part.

But the story is interesting. I kept watching until episode 4, and it turns out that many people get transported to this isekai world, each of them carrying personal issues from their original world. They write a special note in a system that triggers their teleportation. For example, the character Reia, who was cheated on in the real world because her partner left her for a beautiful woman, brought her grudge with her by writing a special note saying she would tear apart beautiful women. Ironically, the special note ends up torturing her in the isekai world.

The episode’s story was good, but the cringe moment at the end — when Seika transformed into something resembling an angel — ruined it. It reminded me of when the hero Seiji-san went into a similar mode, which just turned into a gag scene.

That red hair girl was cooked with a forced skill like that. Removing the skill would remove any stakes from the series though if the mc could magically be immune to women. Curious to see how they resolve this. 5/5

@MewsicMagic yeah, but still overall not a common ocurrence

I watched that show, personally couldn't care less about the main couple and their "slow life", but Ruti's part was so well done, never seen a show before, where being the hero had such massive drawbacks, not specifically enginered drawbacks, ones that made sense: you don't get tired, but you cannot sleep and dream, you are immune to cold, but you can never feel warmth, and so on.

@imSOunique Yeah that was the main thing that made me actually find enjoyment in that show too, albeit mostly the first season, the other parts of it are passable at best. Season 2 was meh because it didn't really try anything new and it couldn't just replicate what S1 did after it happened once.

Honestly, I think what will make or break this show is it's characters, it's already got a "lure" in a sense with the MC, but the "evil" characters and special notes are likely only going to help this show a little bit compared to others that do similar things. I mean, time will tell, but I'm holding out on these characters being able to carry the show as I think the special notes aren't gonna capable of it.

I mean, don't take that to mean I hate this show, or dislike it, in fact it's the opposite, it's rather refreshing in a odd way compared to the usual Isekai bundled with OP we get. But as it stands right now this show is pretty average, it's enjoyable, but average.

@MewsicMagic I liked season 2 more, simply because other characters than the main 2 got a lot more screen time than in season 1, and the 2 hero thing was interesting

yeah, this show is not trying to be a masterpiece, it is an easy watch, it has the right mix of drama and comedy for me
overall I am pleasantly surprised by this show, it is a lot better than I expected it to be, hopefully it will keep it up

I was Hopeful then disappointed with this anime.
The stupidity of ruining your STATS right off the bat was maddening.

Oh well some people are like that but episode 4 really picked it all up for me.
Author did a good character setup to resolve in interesting ways.
This episode shows it's worth the watch.

So far this series has not disappointed. From the seiyuus performances.
To the majority of scenes in motion.

They have balanced the animated expression of character action shots.
While maintaining the fluidity of scenes. And almost voicing over dialogue. Like most films are known for.

Ie they have avoided the usual requirements for anime. In wide panned or frame inserted compartmented spatial perception. Just to maintain the current scene and play out all the adapted dialogue. Prior to transitioning to the next visible environment to be animated.

There is a lot of dialogue in this anime. And most of it is paired with individual brand new environments. Even animating the mc's recollection of his own entirely off screen escapades. To alliterate his commonly wandering thoughts. And how they apply to his strengths as a mentor and accomplished guide (wise man) to the group.

This production may not be a slam dunk. Nor have a ton of silent scenes to allow for heightened displays of animation. To follow their combat battles.

But, it doesn't need that. Its solidly focusing on the sources strong writing.
And its pulling that off without distracting the viewer. With sub par production elsewhere.

A steady 6/10 to 7/10 depending on seiyuus performances.
Who knows. We may yet get an additional character performance that really elevates the rest of the run. Its worth watching either way.

So Breeze and Shigeru did not cross paths in the other world but they both knew Seiji and Breeze also knew Seika. Regarding Breeze's ability in being able to read people's stat windows, I was a bit surprised that she didn't freak out over Shigeru's stats considering how ridiculously OP they are but she does know (or at least should know) his weakness... Anyways, I wonder what Seika is going to do in her angel form to the pretty lady killer, curious to find out.
