Animé titles are in English instead of romanji throughout MAL from account preferences like in Miruro.
I am rubber and you’re glue - whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you.

this would be nice, but from every forum post i've seen, they seem insistent it'll never be done, for a variety of reasons that mostly boil down to "we don't want to" and "vague weaboo, nonsense about original titles" {as if most of these modern anime don't have official english names (and on top of it, if you really wanna respect the "original", use the kanji/hiragana/katakana. but they can't read that, so they use the romanization, WHICH ISN'T THE "ORIGINAL".)}

The weird thing is they let you set those titles for your own list, but not for the site as a whole like AL and AP do. Also "Native" is definitely a better field name than "Japanese", especially with donghua and aeni that sometimes actually do have official Japanese translations for the title which that field isn't meant for.
