 The official website of the new Ranma ½ anime series revealed additional cast and the first promotional video for the second season on Sunday. The second season adapting Rumiko Takahashi's action comedy manga will begin airing on Nippon Television Network in October 2025. Netflix will exclusively stream the anime. Cast Ukyou Kuonji: Kaori Nazuka (Kidou Senshi Gundam: GQuuuuuuX) Mousse: Toshihiko Seki (Pluto) Happosai: Kazuhiko Inoue (Mob Psycho 100) Cologne: Ako Mayama (Fairy Tail) Gosunkugi Hikaru: Akira Ishida (Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2) Kousuke Kawamura (Eiyuu Kyoushitsu) is joining the staff as a chief animation director. Ryuuta Hayashi (Kenka Dokugaku) is directing the art alongside Chihiro Ookawa. Kounosuke Uda (Days) is returning to helm the anime at MAPPA. Returning key staff include series composer Kimiko Ueno (Dungeon Meshi), character designer Hiromi Taniguchi (Youjo Senki sub-character design) and music composer Kaoru Wada (InuYasha). The first season aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2024. Netflix streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs. Rumiko serialized the manga in Shounen Sunday from August 1987 to February 1996. Shogakugan published the 38th and the final volume in June 1996. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in May 1993 and released the 38th volume in November 2006.
