Is there still plans for a season 2? the ending clearly shows that there is an intention for a season 2, otherwise they would just not include

, but since there hasn't been any announcement that i heard of about there being a season 2 are we cooked? does anyone have information? its been a few years now :(

It could happen, but the anime was simply just to promote the novels.

Also Studio C2C still has reincarnated as a sword to do before it, and there's been zero updates for the last few years.

If Jc Staff picks it up then maybe, but I wouldn't want any other studio doing it but C2C

At this point, I don’t expect any S2 from any anime. I’ve really loved tons of anime and hoped for second seasons but never got any. Sometimes I’m surprised but I don’t get my hopes up and move on.

I agree it needs/deserves one (I scored it 8) but I’d rather be surprised if they renew it.

I also thought this anime had a very daring concept of having a single episode dramatically overturn the formula and not being afraid to leave in the original story content. It hugs TV-PG pretty contently until one single episode that immediately shifted it to TV-MA. A change so dramatic that the original broadcast had to warn the viewer. Which is completely understandable since everything seen in the episode is nowhere else in the anime.

It was a genuinely solid mix-up to not be afraid at all to fully commit to the wild narrative that shows up out of the blue in the source material instead of sugarcoating it, let alone outright removing it. It gave me a ton of respect for the people involved. I have certainly liked anime I've seen after it more and a good handful of ones before, but as far as anime presenting new core ideas that threw me in for a loop, this is still the last to do so.

Not necessarily because the plot of the episode itself was fresh, but more so the concept of accepting that the source material had a crazy part of the story and still allowing it into the anime, knowing it'd potentially alienate the audience it already formed that expected it to be a cozy journey.

Re-watched this show and it is was enjoyable for the most part, some episodes are better than others.

But I would like a season 2 as well, been 5 years

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@literallyeurope Lol, better yet they should make it every week, "watch new episodes every single Tuesday!" xD.

I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

I usually/rarely never use my anime list as my go to discussion site for anime, only use it for searching a news of some anime. This is the first time I use it for discussion because I really wanted to know about the next update of this anime (WTF THEY LEAVE US ON CLIFFHANGER WHO THE HELL IS AMNESIA!??), I just finished the anime rn but after digging into this discussion, I think there will be no S2 for wandering witch instead we could just read the manga? LN? for in depth story, I heard that this first season adapting only volume 1 so there's a chance of we seeing season 2 even just a small percentage because what's the point if they put cliffhanger at the end of eps 12?

but again, even if they did continued elaina adaptation we need to overlook the popularity the first season we got (which has been 5 years?) it should had been possible if there's more demand and ofc funds.

@AkiLoveAniShawty Yup, I think it's unlikely this will get a S2, I'd love for it to happen but I've learned over the years of my anime watching that the shows with interesting or unique plots/settings rarely get sequels. I'm trying to find a decent seller for the LN's atleast.
