It was described to be “canon adjacent.” - As in, for the most part, it all could’ve happened as most of it fits timeline wise - but it didn’t have to, either.

Short answer No, because it’s described as being cannon adjacent.

If you want it to be then it is, but it’s not cannon to the main series.

Not cannon, also sucks ass.

First three episodes are basically a retelling of the first RWBY season (done at a worse pace than even the worst mixed-media adaptations).
Episodes 4+ are just really bad filler and pretty much just fan fiction. There's no soul of the original show, no new information, no fresh perspectives on the characters, and it doesn't stand on it's own feet. It felt like the "endless eight" segment of Haruki Suzumiya, but somehow even more boring and monotonous.

I know this is a bit off topic, but where can we watch the original RWBY, now that rooster teeth shut down and crunchroll were asholes and removed it from their library after finally adding it when the new rwby came out.

also any word on if anyone pick up RWBY yet to continue the story? Last I checked there were some showing interests but nothing firmative.
