Could you imagine telling a story without still frames, exposition dumps, monologuing, yapping, and explaining the power system for 2 whole episodes. Imagine animating an action fight with animation. Imagine just doing show-not-tell narrative. its SO FUCKING GOOD. I WANT MORE ANIME LIKE THIS. GRAHHHHHHH

show dont tell is whats different with original anime youre complaining about anime adaptations which have source material like manga that needs a lot of exposition

so watch more original anime and less anime adaptations

@Deago lmfao had a good laugh at this image. Just shows how animation is still by far the most important thing for an anime to get popular and everything else is secondary. That's why shows like jujutsu kaisen get 1000 awards and deserving shows like vinland saga are left in mud.

@Nik03178 i get where you're coming from but if studios wanna mass produce mid-level premises and unfunny safe comedic slapstick ISEKAI and the same romcom school uwu fanservice bs then it better be animated.

also i'd put viland saga over jjk easily lol if we're talking plot narrative and story wise. but anyone can determine that from the manga anyway so if you're making an animated show with animations it better be animated. Ninja Kamui actually had it in the bag for the first few eps and admittedly kinda had a fall off. I can't spoil much but it did lack some tension.

@Nik03178 not at all my friend animation doesn't make anime popular,advertising and promoting anime will make it pop,look at cnm,there are lot of great anime's out there with greatest animation but its not pop,but mappa throwing more and more money
