So I've watched this at a Japanese film festival (not in Japan though). I don't think I've heard of this before, and one of the reasons I've watched it is because I saw a few people talking about it on Facebook.

I wonder why Daisuke just agreed to take Tamaki on a date when he had made fun of her? Does he really respect Kuramochi that much that he'd agree to that? Granted, he's single so perhaps he doesn't mind even if Tamaki's not his ideal girl?

I wouldn't say I knew Kuramochi's going to die. But seeing as the film was relatively smooth sailing until that point. I think the most dramatic point before that is probably Tamaki and Daisuke arguing with each other. I was like: "Of course there's the drama part. Since why would various sites tag it as within the drama genre?"

At 1st, I thought the film just pulled a "Disney." That is they imply a death without showing it directly. But as I've watched further, I thought that it was weird that Kuramochi just died suddenly. No build up, no hints, and the implication was too subtle. Even in Disney they'd show a little more. I was thinking maybe he'd still alike, and of course the film does that. I should have learned from JoJo.

I honestly don't mind characters being "revived." But nowadays, I can see a "death" being a cheap way to induce drama, only for some media to not commit on the idea and "revives" a character anyway.

I don't speak German, but sounds like the one in this film is the real deal?

The film ship-teased us Tamaki with either Daisuke or Kuramochi. Based on my experiences, I was expecting Daisuke to "win" since he's a tsundere, and they win often. Although since Tamaki went out of her way to follow Kuramochi to Germany, I think the film slightly leans towards that.

Romance in stuff where romance isn't the main focus is kind of "overrated." While I think it's a little weird that they did a ship-tease and just implied it at the end, maybe it's better off that way. Although to be fair, I actually like the romance in non-romantic anime. It's the Western counterpart that's what I'm not that crazy for.

I like how optimistic and friendly Tamaki is. Maybe too much for some people, but I'd say it's appropriate for a slice of life drama movie.

I also like how the film is overall a light-hearted experience. It has dark and dramatic moments, such as someone "dying." But it isn't in your face, which is a balance that I love, and I wish more would follow suite.

The visuals are fine, but the content lacks depth, the character development is quite confusing, especially the character Jun.
The movie is about motivation, but I find the wording is confusing and the affection between Tamaki and Jun is not deep enough to turn into love or admiration.

this is the only anime movie i have watched that wasnt part of a series i already liked
i am not someone who likes movies
ive noticed that most movies have background music that i dont like
maybe it would be more pleasant if i listened to it in a theater but im not going to watch this movie in a theater

this is a good movie
i actually had no idea what the movie was about when i started watching it
i was just recommended it on youtube and decided to watch it
perhaps i would prefer every movie as a tv anime but one day after watching this movie i feel very positive about it

i will definitely be recommending this movie to other people and i will be watching it with my uncle after we finish alice and zoroku

Very odd. It seems like it may have been a repurposed pilot for a uncompleted series. Either that they left about 30 minutes to an hour of footage on the cutting room floor. It's polished but the lack of story content makes it feel unfinished.
