Kon and Chiya becomes brides of "God". They are the only brides and the God is not a physical manifestation. He's still a madmem and should be destroyed for torturing Chiya's parents. FYI she releases them and their bodies disappear because of the curse placed in them but they are freed from the curse. She met both of them and tell her good byee.

Chiya's mother was the previous "bride" of God. First division basically mean you become the bride of God and not just anyone can become one. But she fell in love with a man and had Chiya. God was not happy and punished both of them. Kurou is her dad and her mother is still in Merichou. God needs her to maintain the power of the town. God is the town itself and the voices you hear are the previous girls who were punished for trying to know the truth. Chiya's mother is exact opposite of her, cynical and creates walls around her. What Chiya's doing is not divination but clairvoyance. Both her parents also born with it.

Chiya's mother was Abandoned as a child and a temple took her in. Although she was worshipped as a God but she had no friends and many found her ability creepy . When a local lord wanted to marry her. She ran away from that place and ended up at Merichou. She met Kon's mother, Tokie. Tokie san was like Kon obsessed with winning and Chiya's mother. Kon's grandmother wrote the recommendation letter recognising Yami's talents when she didn't have one and tried to copy one to enter. Both of them and Setusu end up becoming bff and grew up together in Meirochou. She was always bored because she could see anything. When she became the bride she had no serious problem because God needs one to maintain the power and she loved the town. But on celebration of her ascension shr met a man whom she couldn't read (because he also had that ability). Both of them fell in love with each other..

Her father is not that dramatic but still sad. He had that power since his birth and like every child with this power, he was treated differently and people talked behind his back. He left his Home Town and became a traveling merchant. He met Chiya's mother during one of his travel and fell in love because he couldn't read Yami either.

Wow, I wish the anime had a second season or OVAs to cover all that.

I had a high hope upon stumble this anime, Urara Meirohou have format similar to Ojamajo Doremi. The girls want to reach rank 1 thing, by completing each exam level. I Wanting to see each girl growth. Turns out the anime doesn't continue it. It was a let down.
