| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This series has some of the most pleasing artwork in a long time. The backgrounds have enough detail to imply a European setting but aren't cluttered. The characters are drawn in a manner that imply strength to some and swiftness to others. It's just a very nice older style that is great. In this episode we get a lot of backstory on our heroine. There is also the introduction of several new characters including my favorite: Furball or 87 or whatever the cat's name is. A herioine dressed in black with a black panther buddy is too cool. In 1999 this series must have been grand indeed! Also, shout out to the monster maids. They made me laugh every time they popped up. |

Cat's name is Data 7 btw and the show takes place in Argentina, where the original comic authors are from. I already love this so far and I'm looking forward to later episodes. |
