| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, my thoughts will be full of spoilers so I will spoil them... I would say minus the ecchi, this could be seen as okay bonus OVAs to VS Knight. Definitely improved itself from the first ep. Time to rewatch the NG Knight series to feel better. |

| Pretty disappointing. The OP promises so much and the show basically doesn't deliver any of it. The whole fake Lamuness was dumb as it was obvious by episode 2 or 3 so the OVAs attempts at feels was weak, same with Electone. Even worse was the "plot" which only serves to make the entire timeline a giant mess thanks to good ol' time travel. As if Fire wasn't bad enough. It creates way so many more questions that it collapses into a black hole of Doesn't Make Sense. Plus, it comes with all the issues Fire (and a bit of the original, tbh) does, but without the comedy and puns: terrible battles, over-reliance of bullshit OP powers (in this case, it's the miko powers), sloppy character usage, horrible male characters, weak plot, weak writing, things being obvious and the show having to tell us like the audience are idiots, and overuse of the romance angle. It also makes Lamuness II feel even more pointless to the overall universe. Lamuness III actually manages to create a parallel universe, saving Earth from (self-made) destruction because his adventure "matured" him? Talk about ridiculous. Plus, if this super strong knight existed all this time... first, how? Second, why didn't they use THAT against Abraham? If it existed on another planet... first, how? Second, Kira Kira World couldn't possibly figure out space travel? Isn't that what Genos is? That Vodka guy seemed to know about it, after all. Talk about an unnecessary sequel. Doesn't fit into its' own timeline let alone NG Knight's. But, hey, at least we got a few lesbo moments! And the original seiyuu reprise their roles and even some new ones! (Man, what a waste of their talent...) And the animation is constantly good! /s But, seriously, as nice as it is to see Cacao's tits and eyes for the majority of the OVA, I honestly can't recommend it. Even the OST is lackluster with only the OP and ED being worth the time to see. Not as catchy as Fire's, but the OP is still MILES better than what was delivered. The fact this OVA, which I wanted to see for years is THIS bad and, is nothing at all like the OP is saddening. I like the idea of giving Parfait and Cacao a chance to be something and more of a heroine, but this anime just does a bad job. 2/10 - Watch NG Knight's OVAs if you really want to see what this series is about. |
| I get the feeling this was an anime that set out to ruin the previous incarnation Vary rarely do I watch anime and want my time back, but this one of them I didn't really care for this though, but it was short enough I felt I might as well try to finish it however, I found it difficult to watch. I think about 1/3 of the total footage is the bad guy pimphanding women -Lemon is not very well integrated into the story -I wanted something lighthearted and Dirty Pair-like and this was very much not it, despite the trailer ADV put together back in the day -the art style is peak 1990s, which was about the only thing I got out of this |
| That was a horrible anime. Giving it an extra point for its soundtrack though. |
