| Gao finally got a win against him. Nice. I saw from the comments that the english va's are on strike. Not sure why though. |

Buddyfight is the first anime I've ever watched where I can honestly say that I enjoyed the English dub. There were a lot of things I disliked about it, but some of the English voices (esp Gao, Zanya, and Drum) were really good. Seriously good. Just as much, though, Count Dawn was too cheesy to take seriously (I kept waiting for "I vant to suck your blood, ah ah ah!"), and Ikazuchi sounded like a young Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song Trilogy, anyone?). After another 2-3 episodes, I'll definitely feel more at home with the subbed version. |
