I kind of felt relateable but at the same time, it was a tad too exaggerated for my liking. This mangaka's style is really interesting, I'll give it that.

it may be depressing but it's real. it's showing the reality of eating disorders so obviously it's not happy.

this was so realistic, I love how in the end she didn't suddenly change her character and tell her ex off because that's not how she is.
the portrayal of eating disorders was refreshing, it didn't make it glamorous (it would be better if it showed more side effects but it's a short manga so I don't mind it). it's rare to find media that portray eating disorders like this, in their true disgusting nature and the critical message that losing weight won't make you happy.

Wtf did I just read, it was memorable though but a bit too overexaggerated. Personally, this could be one of the accurate depictions of eating disorders, well it's not the best and could've been longer, think this is just something that gives some naturalism and it's depressing as heck.

The problem wasn't with her weight all along, it was her and others' attitudes towards it. She was a kind gentle soul who didn't deserve any of this.

stories where not a single characters learns a goddamned thing are my least favorite. do i understand why she returned to binge eating sans purging? yes. do i understand why the other characters were the way they were? yes. (although, almost all of them were ridiculous caricatures. like, can we really treat bf patrick bateman, chuuni edgelady coworker, and the japanese final form of regina george as actual characters?) do i understand how a lot of the story reflects the rigidness of japanese society? yes. but that doesn't mean i'm not pissed off. i get why she went back to her initial eating disorder: it was familiar, it was comfortable, and it helped her numb herself to her internal and external problems. but dammit, you're not happy, and you KNOW you're not happy. it just makes the whole story feel kinda pointless tbh. nothing that happened appreciably changed the characters in any way

this was an interesting manga, to say the least. I can certainly appreciate that it tackles such a serious topic as body issues. but over all I feel parts of it were a bit mixed up. like Im not expecting it to be a thing of oh she worked hard to loose the weight and everything works out. but idk the whole drama w/ her husband cheating on her w/ the coworker really kinda killed this for me and the story w/ the old man shutting the place down. its a big wtf kinda manga
not one the author's best work but glad i got to read it ^^
