| That was a good ending! Very uplifting... the series was definitely worth the wait and the time to read. TheOneOtaku said: It definitely had potential to become a longer manga. Nice ending, rather vague on what's going to happen next. I believe the story is more about "overcoming an obstacle". From experience it is always hard to start something new...whether that is a new job, college, or any type of mile stone in life. Taking that first step is crucial and hard but seeking out that goal will definitely be worth it. |

| I strongly suspect that it was cancelled by the manga company. Basically, the story simply ended with the formation of the ekiden club? What kind of sports manga simply wrap things up with the formation of a sports club? That's supposed to be the beginning, not the end. What about the training arcs? the competition arcs? Based on what I read so far in the earlier chapters, I suspect the author was planning a competition between the protagonist's team and the team at the other high school. And definitely a training arc too. Remember, they made a deal out of the strange running style of the megane girl. So there could be special training to correct the weird running style or something. It shouldn't end with just the formation of their club. So sales in Japan probably wasn't all that good so they had to cut it short. At least they let the author complete one story arc. Some manga get cut in the MIDDLE of a story arc. |
