| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I feel like it is missing "emotion" . . . Not sure how to explain it but the series seems kind of flat right now. Like it's okay, but the atmosphere just isn't there. Anyways, I'm not sure why the fiance decides she wants to play fair about not spilling Makoto's secret but at the same time does stuff like taking kidnapping Ito to have the play cancelled. |

Edit: I think this isn't really a spoiler, so I will just add it here. In Volume 9 Makoto will refer to their gathering at the pool during the night in chapter 2 as their "first date". So yeah, the pacing really is a bit weird in the beginning. |
