| Quotes, eh? I've noted down several quotes from throughout Rewrite, but my favorite one is the quote from Akane in Akane route: Kotarou, making a big decision is more than just a choice. It also means throwing something away. | Ah let's see. Some have already mentioned the hilarious quotes, so no need to go into those. Been awhile since I played but I believe there are some memorables of mine. "Captain!" - Kotarou. Yes, that single line made me love Mazakazu Morita's voice acting. Superb job. "You outsmarted me. You win" - Esaka "Any weakling can be dignified. But only the strong can win" - Esaka (Monologue)"I hope that all the choices I made as I was wandering through the darkness... Due to the incredible power of Notepad++ Find/Replace, getting these lines took approximately one minute (since you gave me precise quotes to search for). Feel free to ask about why I translated a line one way or another. Probably the biggest difference between the Japanese and the English in these quotes is that 女心と秋の空 is a very short idiom in Japanese, but we have no obvious English equivalent of it so I basically tacked on a translation of the definition given at http://kotowaza-allguide.com/o/onnagokorotoakinosora.html. The rest looks fairly straightfoward. |
