Me favorite sport is rhythmic gymnastics, so I have paid attention for the anime related with rg. Unfortunately, the series are quite unpopular, so it's hard to watch them, especially with eng subs. I found only 2 episodes on veoh; on youtube there is spanish- or german-dubbed versions, but I don't speak them;//
The anime is quite interesting if you like stories about girls who fall in love and gymnastics, but it's old-stylish one. Well, I like the story. That's it;)

I wanted to watch Hikari really badly, so I made some temporary, makeshift subtitles. What I did was, I took the subs from the dual audio French DVD, put them into Google translate, and the result was - surprisingly digestible. The subs are for Japanese language and should probably fit in with other releases too.

There are a bunch of errors, such as misplaced words, etc., but it isn't too distracting. I'm going to correct the subs, but it might take me a while, so any help is welcome(little or no knowledge of French is needed, the English sentences just need to be reworked properly).

P.S. Hikari is such a lovely anime, it would be a shame if more people didn't get to see it :) .

I liked the romance in this. The two girls' sequences were also charming. Wish there was more of it adapted, would've liked to see the progression of the romance instead of those rushed conclusions.

Does this anime have a satisfying ending?
They crammed 16 volumes into 19 episodes and the anime finished two years before the manga.

Sadly the manga was never translated.

It is translated and published in French.

There it goes into more technical details and adds variety of music tracks you can listen to while reading. Also the rock band character story does not exist in the manga. There they have a virtuoso pianist instead with psychological issues.

All of this would make a proper anime adaptation very expensive
