| Positives: - A strong first episode. - I also really liked the atmosphere in the beginning episodes, with the background music OST (like the drums and violin). Its background music is so good, that it reminded me of the Clannad BGM and the Kanon 2006 BGM. - I also really liked how they showed us the neighborhood that they lived in and how it looked. The anime even did its best to portray that is fall/winter with the way the sun is always not so bright, and with people wearing their fall/winter clothes. - Its also nice that there is romantic progress, and I guess we can say its somewhat unique. Negatives: - After a strong first episode that captivated its audience with its atmosphere and amazing BGM, WA2 then sadly just went bland or downhill with its VERY SLOW PACING. - WA2 also went downhill when the second half of the anime decided to be a soap-opera, and if your drama resembles a soap-opera, then its gonna make it a dull experience. - And we cannot forget those two horrible flashback episodes of Touma, which just ruined the immersion of the anime, and those episodes were dull. To conclude = White Album 2 is 13 episodes, but they should have made it about 10 episodes. WA2 is like a rollercoaster when it comes to enjoyment = when its good it is enjoyable, but when its dull IT IS DULL. The first half (the first 6-7 episodes were enjoyable, but not always, due to the chill-nature of the anime, along with the BGM music and the scenery. But from episode 8 to the end, it just got so dull, mainly due to the soap-opera melodrama. Well, its now been 10 years since this anime ended and no season 2, nor movie, no OVA/special. Oh well |

| Ok this was one of hell of a unique ride, I didnt think one bit it will turn out like this and I expected its just both those 3 going on a journey to achieve their dreams in becoming the best band but oh no how much I was wrong. At the ending they kissed in front of Setsuna?? and then Kazusa decided to fly away after all this and Setsuna wont forget Haruki?? they should've forgave each other or not and went on their own separate way after all, but I bet also Haruki doesnt wanna forget Setsuna because he said "I cant imagine a world without you being my girlfriend" this is confusing, human feels are actually complex and this shows exactly how its hard to know how we feel about someone. Overall, I think they all were wrong but I still wanna know how it goes from there? will Kazusa be back after she succeeds in her piano career or all of them will just move on? or the worse could happen and he's back with Setsuna and by then Kazusa forgot him or vice versa. Guess there is no way figure this out unless I play the VN. Was hoping at least its conclusive. 9/10. One hell of an anime ngl. |
| absolutely foul and horrendous when kazusa and haruki kissed right in front of setsuna. i was so surprised that i laughed and audibly went oh shit. that was hard to watch. its the end but i can't find any fault in the girls. i'm unable to blame haruki too much either but that kiss was down bad man. and i don't know what's going on with setsuna does she not have any shred of self-respect. i couldn't understand it when she was still clinging to haruki in the last scene. teen love is scary. and here i thought ignoring gf's calls and having sex with her best friend is the worst that could happen but the kiss still takes the cake. it has made quite an impression on me. never forgetting that epic scene. ntr final boss fr. i think they were trying to be symbolic or something with the love beyond reach song. setsuna's love isn't able to reach haruki. haruki and kazusa's love isn't enough to reach each other something like that? some people might hate setsuna and i did at the start too after finding out how she actively made it so that she confessed before kazusa but in the end she was just another girl in love and what she did is nothing compared to what those two did to her at the airport. i mean just think; she was ignored in junior high and didn;t have close freinds for most of the 3 years of highschool when she finally met a guy she fell for and a bestfriend with whom she was the happiest she ever was. all of this and in the end her bf cheats on her in front of her with her best friend. like i'm amazed she isn't either killing herself, haruki or doing both. i could tell just how much it hurt kazusa unable to be with haruki but the way it was done was below average. i've seen many other animes which have pulled this same thing with such capacity that i've experienced my heart ache for the character even shed tears. while watching wa2 i didn't even once felt emotional or too interested. the whole anime was mediocre at best, peaking in the last episode with the sex scene and kiss at the airport. the white album song is a banger though. really loved it. 7/10 for this seems perfect. 6 would be too low and this definitely isn't an 8. i'm a very emotional guy and this anime didn't make me feel anything at all so that says something. i can finally understand all the wa2 memes and reels now. |

| So there wont be a happy ending. Its sad. But the ending is really beautiful. The beginning of this episode is so hot and passionate. And that missed call from Setsuna... As i thought, Setsuna knew about everything from the very beginning. And i didnt believe her words that she just wanted to be with everyone. She's not like that. Of course, she truly loved Kitahara. When she asks what she should have done, i thought that apparently there was no villain in this story at all. Everything that happened was inevitable. If Setsuna hadnt confessed to Kitahara, then Touma would have confessed to him and Setsuna and Touma would have simply switched places. You could say it was fate. Well, they had good moments too. And that touching last meeting at the airport. And Touma flew away. And its understandable - what kind of relationship can there be after everything that happened. It turns out that in the end everyone ended up with a broken heart. Id say thats just the kind of story it is. And the anime ends beautifully with the third song from the festival, from the times when everything was still good - "Todokanai Koi '13". *** Well, what can i say about the whole anime - its a masterpiece. A must-see for emos like me romance fans. White Album 2 is very beautiful, sad, emotional anime with great atmosphere, story, characters and of course music. But i still recommend watching the first part (the one from 2009) before White Album 2, its also beautiful and sad. |

| What I love is.. Until the last drop of tears (after all of those drama, even after he told most everything to Setsuna), Setsuna still stand.. Loving him.. The last applause goes for Setsuna.. Even if she is kind anoying "genki" chara, who suddenly appear on our both "dark" chara.. I cried on the first time watching this, still 10/10 up until now 🥲👍 I wonder how u feel when ur gf/bf kissing other infront of u.. I love Touma for "innocent" pure chara on this, N I love Setsuna on how "finally she can accept it all" but still love the boy.. I wonder if they can still contact each other via phone.. Not just ended on Setsuna route.. NB : still love to sing those "Todokanai Koi" up until now ❤ |
