| Oh right, this show has space stuff. Turns out Mega Maid is busy being in orbit enough for the gang to casually discover that in their garage, coincidentally just when "omg why" nukes get absorbed anticlimactically. I guess Tokyo residents have become jaded by decades of post-WW2 monster attacks but still haven't moved on like Hiroshima. 6/10 - Character development and world building. Better late than never. |

| @Cnon Those are symbolic bulging arteries of anger. Related to the comically large sweat drop of embarrassment, blushing of love, and gushing blood of excitement. Imo they're fine in a comedy show with serious moments (Samurai Pizza Cats, Sailor Moon, The Slayers), but not the other way around like here. |

| @Cnon This anime ignored most deaths like in Megamind, so it's not super serious. Even Akira and Ghost in the Shell had comedic bits to show how immature the leads still were and probably to relate to the target audience more. Also, having just seen some gag faces from the GitS manga, there are steam clouds of frustration as well, related to sigh of relief. |

| @XCT3 oh neato i haven't read gits manga so most serious manga like these have gag faces. gag faces in fmab bothered me as well but i guess it was always common i just didn't notice it. |
