Before you recommend anything make sure to check if I've seen it first.

Thread is as title suggests:
What anime truly need to be watched by any level of anime fan? And obviously ones that i haven't already seen.

Thank you, In advance.
Unless you can't read.

Bakamonogatari has been in my scope for awhile.
Does it contain a lot of romance or is just like a bit here and there?

Bakemonogatari (Personally found it bit overrated, but it sure as hell stands out)
Code Geass R2 (You've seen R1 but not R2?)
ef: A Tale of Memories/Melodies (Interesting take on romance)
Gintama (Not for everyone to be sure, but it's worth trying at least)
Little Busters Refrain (Currently airing, but you'll see why when it's done)
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica (Complete genre deconstruction, don't judge it by its cover)
Suzumiya Haruhi series (Mostly for the sake of the epic concluding movie)

Tons more I could recommend, but those would be the ones not on your list I'd recommend everyone to give a chance at least.

Baccano
Code Geass R2
Gintama
Mushishi
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Seconding Bakemonogatari

It isn't the main focus, but there are a few episodes where it is.

EDIT: BTW nice taste in music (supercell & Nagi forever)

Looking at your list I noticed there's only recent popular series on there. Where's the classic stuff like hokuto no ken, Berserk, Akira, etc.??

Super Ultimate Must Watch:

-Baccano! (words aren't enough)
-Bakemonogatari (watch series in release order)
-Hunter x Hunter 2011 (I used to have negative opinions on people that rated this high, but everything changed when I watched it.)

Must Watch:
Bakuman
Fate/zero
Sakimichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope)
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.
Mawaru Penguindrum

That's all i have for now! Check my list out if you want more... those rated 8+ are usually REALLY good.

Happy Watching!

The romance is prominent and there is a fair share of it. Not heavily focused though like say a Shoujo romance anime. My favorite anime episode of all time is Bakemonogatari episode 12, which happens to be the most romantic episode of Bakemonogatari.
