Maybe this http://myanimelist.net/anime/11179/Papa_no_Iukoto_wo_Kikinasai! MAYBE I mean, it's got a school setting but it's college so idk.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/6114/Rainbow:_Nisha_Rokubou_no_Shichinin Possibly this one as well, it goes from a prison setting in the first 12 or so eps to a timeskip where they live as adults, not so much a slice of life as much of a drama/suspense. I really recomend this one however since it's probably the closest to what you're looking for that I've seen.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/7662/Shinrei_Tantei_Yakumo Set in college, more of a mystery/ghost setting than anything, decent watch.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/245/Great_Teacher_Onizuka Can't go wrong with Onizuka, even though it is a school setting it's one of my favorites, I recomend giving it a shot, it's more about the teacher than the students.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/263/Hajime_no_Ippo Mainly about boxing, however it drops the school setting a few episodes in and has slice of life elements. Really good show if you can get past the first like 3 episodes which are sorta slow.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/18119/Servant_x_Service Only seen 1 episode of this so far but it seems like what you might like.

Those are all the Slice of Life's with no or very little school background in em, Gl man and sorry if you've seen some I didn't feel like searching your list since I was typing this in a rush before I got off.

Also try these anime's out if you haven't seen them already, easily my favorite slice of life's, they have a school setting however.

Also gonna second Working!!, saw someone post that in here and I remember it was a pretty good show with no school background
