| I have been looking forward to this one for a while. I have some of the original manga, and this is a series I never thought would be made into an anime. It's kind of weird seeing some of this author's work suddenly being animated so many years after the manga came out (like with Jyu-oh-sei) |

| The manga was a nice surprise, I thought it'd be just another reverse harem, but I was actually much more taken with the political side of the story. Very curious to see how it'll turn out, I trust NHK to make a decent transposition *_*. |

| Recently saw the trailer and seiyuu (Endo Aya, Morikawa Toshiyuki, and Daisuke Ono) interview on Youtube. The animation isn't super, super quality like Guin Saga, but one's a renowned long-running fantasy novel series and the other is a bishie eye-candy 80's shoujo manga. There's no comparison between the two. From the trailer I can tell that I'll really like Kajika. Definitely expect her to be the strong, charismatic character she is in the manga. Endo Aya uses a rather deep, sexy voice and masculine speech style for Kajika. She's not the usual saucer eyed, high-pitched, whiny, quivering heroine of many a shoujo. As for our gorgeous guys... I'm drooling over Fang Li Ren. Dark, tall, Chinese, looks hot in a changshan, and with Morimori's voice. Don't know about the other guys yet...Eugene (Daisuke Ono) didn't have as much screen time as Kajika and Li Ren. VA for Carl (Fukuyama Jun) and Rumati (Namikawa Daisuke) weren't present. I've read through the manga, which is really good, so I've an idea what to expect... From the trailer it looks like they're focusing more on the "husband" game than the political side of the story. Well, since it's going to be a whopping 39 episodes I expect that we'll get into that part of the manga eventually. 39 is a pretty sweet number considering that most of the anticipated anime this season like Pandora Hearts, Guin Saga, 07 Ghost, to name a few, only have 25 or 26 episodes. |
