Hi I am looking for an anime like Code Geass or Death Note if you know what I mean. Main Character is very intelligent. If it had violence it would be good if it dosnt have violence no problem. Basically Some thing that would make you think alot something clever.

Idk why anyone would hate you for saying Sword Art Online but it doesn't fit what he asked for. Like Accel World it hints that the characters are smart but it doesn't show it often.

I don't know why but princess lover came to mind when you said you wanted something like code geass.

For a smart/clever anime I would check out:

Gosick (Victorique is very clever, she is able to solve most mysteries by deducing the situation and using logic. As long as you don't mind one of the Mc's being a chick then you are good to go)

Hyouka (this anime is similar to a slice of life, and it's based in highschool, but the Mc is incredibly clever and smart. With joining a club he meets a girl that constantly challenges him cognitively and asks him to solve mysteries that are related to school or the club)

Ghost hunt (the MC male has his own detective ghost hunting business. He is able to logically assess the situation and find the solution to the problem)

Kamisama no Memochou (Alice or Yuuko is supposed to be incredibly intelligent. She runs a detective company on the down low and is able to hack through most programs to find information for the group.)

Kuroshitsuji (the Mc of this anime is incredibly witty. He is a thinker, and is always using his mind to determine future predictions in which he than prepares for. This anime has a lot of comedy in it and around it, but he is an incredibly sharp little guy, and if I explained why it would spoil. Watch and see!)
"People die if they get killed" who knew.

Kaiji, my good sir, is the perfect anime for you. It's about a guy called Kaiji that has huge debts due to betting to an organization, and this organization made him an offer: If he joins a cruise and make some bets there and SURVIVE, he can pay hes debts and even win some millions. He accepted, and at the cruise, he found out that if he fails, he will be a slave and probably die. But watch out: The kind of bet he will do is not the usual you find at casinos. It is a intelectual bet that is all about outsmarting your opponent. I recommend Kaiji for you.

I would second Ghost Hunt: leader is a genius, but the anime itself isn't very much like either. I'm really seconding it because it is quite interesting.

I recently watched Durarara!!, there isn't a main character, but rather a bunch, and one or two of them, especially Izaya and Shizuo, reminded me a bit of Lelouch (especially when Lelouch kind of lost it in the head a bit). Izaya, however, is probably a bit more like Light overall in the destructiveness department.

hmm then watch Btooom the MC is somehow clever and it is full of violence and so on

And I also recommend Hyouka. Real intelligent MC, although he's lazy so not much action. The action is inside brain.

Shinsekai Yori - Don't let the first few episodes fool you. The plot is quite complex, on par with, if not, more than Code Geass.

I'd rec it too. Izaya, like Lelouch, loves playing *chess*.

try the first season of darker than black if you're looking for a strong male protagonist. some of the powers people have in that show are pretty awesome, much like geass

Second,

Eureka seven and 00 is about rebellion. Both MC are in the rebel force.

But the MC in E7 gets more development than Setsuna from 00 (He's already kinda badass from the start)
Sword in hand, a warrior clutches stone to breast. In sword etched he his fading memories In stone, his tempered skill By sword attested, by stone revealed. Their tale can now be told

Shinsekai Yori - It will make you think and the MC is smart, but not Lelouch or Light level smart.
Psycho-Pass - Kougami is smart and the series can make you question some shit (mainly about the Sibyl System)
