| Kimi ni Todoke. Fun, kind, lighthearted and sweet pretty much sums up the series brilliantly. Watch both seasons, 37 episodes, and you should get some laughs while watching a nice slice of life/romance that will lift your spirits. It's similar to Toradora and Lovely Complex that you've watched. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is another one that will fall right in line with the characterizations above. It's brief and the conclussion airs next week. |

| I definitely second My Little Monster, it has humor and a sweet romance. I would also suggest Binbougami Ga! Full disclosure though, I have not seen the entire series. But based on the strength of the first episode I am confindent that the show has more than enough comedy to get you through your melancholy. I hope things work out for the best! |

| For me, Kimi to Boku always manages to cheer me up and make me laugh. Give it a couple of episodes to get going before you drop it (although nothing ever really happens, the group dynamic changes quite a bit with the introduction of Chizuru and helps to balance out the show). Also Natsume Yuujinchou (surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet!) and Tsuritama. |

| Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou is perfect for you. It'll give you the smile ! Then you should try Hana Saku Iroha. It depicts the life lived by a hostel employee, with a sweet atmosphere around.
