| I actually really liked this one. The humour was genuinely quite funny, the dub was really good and even the characters I thought would be annoying are lovable. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking, even though this was a 2013 anime it feels mid 00s in execution. But jeez, this really was a flash in the pan wasn't it? It must have been pretty big back in the day, 14 pages of forum posts is no mean feat, but then to have like 15 posts in 10 years... and most of them from the mid 10s. The blu-rays are just languishing in the clearance section too. Shame really. |

| It was a good episode. I love Kyousuke, he's so me. Either way... the voice acting is... ngh... I don't like it. Why does most of the female cast have a more annoying voice than average? |

| It was alright, not a great adaptation. It's too faithful to the VN in some parts, while also ignoring the gravitas of the more emotional scenes. Kengo's decision to not become part of the team was treated as a big deal, because the entire point of forming the Little Busters team was for them to spend more time together, but it's just brushed aside in this version. I've yet to play Clannad, but Kyo's first episode is masterfully structured, and almost ethereal in quality. They knew just what to focus on, and managed to introduce the entire core cast in a natural way during episode 1. Meanwhile LB, doesn't introduce any of the girls, aside from Komari, and even then it's just a partial introductory scene. I feel like they should've re-ordered some scenes from the VN, so they could introduce most of the cast by the end of this episode. The homework scene is funny, but you could place it literally anywhere in the first half of the anime, and Sasami is not important enough in the Common Route to be introduced before the main girls. There was little animation, which was disappointing. I wanted to see Rin fight Sasami, and that they didn't do Kyousuke's Manga reading scene justice by not including the smile Riki literally narrating about it, and not using Boys Don't Cry. |
