Pretty boring, for the first part. I've only liked the battle, and the conclusion... Well, boring as the TV series.

At least Smile Precure isn't that boring... For now.

I am the opposite. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie as much as the series. (You can never go wrong with Sweetshipping/HibiKana). It fits in nicely in the mid-part of the series. And Mephisto singing to Ako from his heart was a very touching scene. ;-;

The only thing I didn't like in the movie (and every Precure movie) is the damn light-stick schtick (for obvious reasons) but the movie was enjoyable (HibiKana Ho Yay !) though like the rest of the series Ellen gets left out ):

I would think it would be interesting to see this in theaters, with all the kids shining lights all over the place and me, a 22 year old, looking like a creep to their parents.

That movie was so pointless...

It doesn't make any sense that Suzu wasn't turned to stone like everyone else in Major Land. The pendant wouldn't have protected her from that.

Why didn't Aphrodite put Mephisto in a ball thing like Ako and just trap them both? Why allow him to keep attempting to save her?

Hummy was so useless I got angry.

Over dramatic much? They take away music for like an hour and the entire nation is crying.

I dont think you realize that this is a children's movie.

The movie was far from pointless, it essentially confirmed (if there were still any lingering doubts) that Hibiki and Kanade are a true yuri couple.

Seriously speaking, it's actually one of the better Precure movies (just below Heartcatch's) for having a somewhat relevant story (unlike other seasons such as Fresh and Smile that had ridiculous plot lines and overblown drama), good comic relief (Mephisto getting arrested at the start, Hummy being Hummy) and a decent climax (pretty standard fare for Precure movies, but the build up was quite effective). I won't doubt that certain elements of the plot line probably didn't make much sense (such as why Suzu didn't turn into stone, POWER OF THE HEART etc.), though if one intends to nitpick on a children's show for every logical fallacy, perhaps they should question their own viewing mindset. That's not to say Precure shows aren't guilty of having some rather obvious flaws but thankfully they don't always take themselves entirely seriously. Considering the target demographic, Suite still manages to be a good season with amusing character dynamics and light-hearted charm.

Holy crap, this movie was like a hundred times better than the shitty final arc of the anime. The writing was great, the character portrayal was great, the climax was great, and fuck the haters, the light sticks thing and the ending dance were the most adorable things ever. It must have been a ton of fun for the kids watching this movie in theaters.

And my Hibiki/Kanade shipping heart is immensely pleased.

Mephisto was great in this movie and I'm sad we don't get more MephistoxAphrodite, they make a strangely cute couple.

I really like the fact that this movie ties in with the series, fully explaining why Ako didn't return to Major Land.

The thing that I hated, on the other hand, was the fact that Melody gets a miraculous power up that no one else gets and that will be used no where else and it isn't even used to kill the enemy. I think that's what pissed me off the most. If the power up were used to give the finishing blow, that would be one thing, but then the movie turned around and used a power up they could have used 20 minutes ago when Suzu brought the Healing Chest back. UGH. I know it's a kids movie, but seriously, that probably would have bothered me even as a kid.

Brainwashed queen... Now where have I seen this before? In GoGo's movie maybe?

I agree with the comment that said this is boring like the TV series.

Too many plot holes. Why would the girls take the Healing Chest with them? They could have left Hummy behind too. And Ako could hear her father singing without him actually singing. Great.

You're absolutely right. Yes, it has plot holes, it's a kid shows, it's intented to be enjoyed without thinking about it too much. And for what it is made, it accomplish it greatly. I loved the intensity of the fights with all their inside feelings. Cure Melody is a badass girlboss and I love her for that, she is at the same level as Cure Black. It was quite a long while since we have a really powerful and outstanding girl like her (Cure Bloom/Bright is a pretty alike Black, but her raw power didn't reveice the same attention as Cure Black's one; and Cure Rough even lesser, because she isn't even the main Cure of her squad)

wtf, that ended abruptly. No resolution to the Ako and Suzu arc. I guess we have to assume they never made up and still hate each other. Apparently accusing your friend's mother of destroying the kingdom is a line you can't cross. We just see Suzu walking home with her parents and Ako wanting to leave asap. A pretty cruel message to send to kids, that one stray (truthful) comment can end your friendships, but they gotta learn it some time I guess.

At least the final boss fight was cool, better than the one in the actual show.
