I just finished reading this and couldn't help but think that Takeda was really lucky with all his clues.I liked the whole 'trying to be the ideal father which he never could' part but the way he was able track down the killer was a bit ridiculous.

You probably won't read this but the radio is something she probably always carried around. It's shown in an earlier chapter that she was listening to it late at night, so it can be inferred that the radio was probably something she used regularly.

As for why the radio is with her in the trunk, Satoshi probably panicked and put her things with her in the trunk. Remember, he thought she was already dead by then, so he wouldn't have thought it was risky to put all of the possibly incriminating evidence along with her.

The radio is probably a gift or maybe something she won as a prize.
