I've been reading the last few chapters and it's been a pretty good ending so far and I hope that the final chapter does the series justice. :D But yeah my biggest hope right now is that the anime gets continued, I really hope it does!!! Because there's still I think over 200 chapters now that they could animate without having to worry about fillers.

What i'm not getting is if people haven't read it or don't like it then why do you care if it ends or not? It doesn't really effect you either way.

I'm with you there.

I'm enjoying the anime and the books, and i havnt finished either one yet. To read how everyone says they got sick of it is a bit sad for me.

Just wondering, what chapter does the final story arc begin? I'll just pick it up from there seeing as I was skipping around volumes anyways and was never really lost.

I enjoyed most of the anime. I had my issues with it towards the end, but overall I liked it. I plan to start the manga where the anime left off.

That took forever to end. Just to long. And the anime didn't really finsh either. It would be funny if the did a Inuyasha season two.

Technically it'd be season seven, since the anime has already had a six season run.

Personally though, I'd like to see the anime re-made from the start, with zero filler, and have the entire story compressed in to 200 eps at the most. But then the manga by its very nature is very 'fillerish' with Naraku escaping countless times, and the crew all going on meaningless stupid hunts that go nowhere. >.<

Exactly, I'm reading the manga and I'm shocked at how it actually seems like there is filler IN THE MANGA at times (like these random 2-5 chapter stories that go nowhere and mean nothing and do nothing for the series).

Finally! I wonder how many chapters she could have suppressed. Inuyasha is so fillerish! >.<
I hope the ending is great, though ^^

FINALLY!! O_O enough is ENOUGH!

Now I can't wait to see the failure of an ending it'll be. To end a 500+ chapter story with only one chapter... I want to see how that fails works.

It'll probably leave everyone (the few people who bothered to follow the fillers story) unsatisfyed.

i stayed up to 3 am on a worknight just to finish reading the ending. yes, it all wraps up just fine. yea, its probobly what youd expect. and to those saying "finally" i can agree with you sometimes, but give a good idea credit where its due. so she ran out of ideas near the end? oh well, cant flaw her for at least trying to keep it going. even through some of the pointless chapters, i kept going just because every little peice was part of a story. much like akira (which i felt was a little drawn out at times too) inu yasha's sword, his clothing, have become anime icons much like the red motorcycle. it left a imprint in the culture, isnt that enough? dont berate a series for being 'too long' because even if you didnt think it should continue, im sure theres a 2:1 ratio of fans who wanted every part told.

Rumiko Takahashi finally ended it. I was so happy it ended. I remember back when I first picked it up in the beginning of high school. It seems like so long ago, but I loved it. I liked the ending too. I thought it would never end to be honest. =P I used to be a craaaaaazy fan, but then it died down for me. My friends were really into it.

I'd really like for the anime to have a real ending. so if they can close it all up in just one more season, that would be perfect for me.

So tempting to click that spoiler button.....

I had suspitions that the ending blew but I'm still taking that risk! Rumiko has a thing of leaving things hanging like Ranma 1/2....

It's about damn time. I used to be a big fan of the manga until I reached volume number 23 and they still hadn't killed Naraku yet. After that I just gave up. Maybe I'll pick it back up again ... then again, maybe not... that ending really was bad.

Personally, I think the ending was rushed.

I highly doubt this, but maybe I can only wish, that somehow someway they can animate the rest of the manga ! T__T ;

I have read volumes 1-34 of the manga.

Haven't read volumes 35-56 yet cause they haven't been released to America yet :3.

That's right, I ONLY read the USA volumes ^_^.
